During the summer, Juxtaposition Art’s Tactical Lab

would work on an ongoing project called “Broadway

Vibrations”. Broadway Vibrations was funded by the

City of Minneapolis and Pillsbury United Communities

as a part of their Collaborative Public Safety Strategies

Program. During my time as a Lab Lead for Tactical, I

helped to organize and execute various community

“activations” meant to lift the vibes of West Broadway

and create spaces for joy and family-friendly

entertainment. These activations included movie

nights, block parties, food giveaways and more.

At these activations we would also pass out

“healing kits”, which could be bags or boxes

that we decorated and filled with self-care items.

In addition to organizing, I was also responsible

for creating many of our event graphics.
