In the time leading up to the trial and sentencing of

Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd, many

community members were demanding justice and

answers from the judicial system. The Juxtaposition

Arts Tactical Lab took this time to provide an opportunity

for community members to meet virtually with the entire

4th District Judicial team. In this meeting, community

members were able to ask questions directly to the

judges in breakout rooms and large group discussions.

We also hit the streets in the weeks before the

meeting to gather even more question and

community input for the judges.

As a lead for the Tactical Lab, I helped coordinate and

facilitate the community engagement and actual

meeting as well as organize a reflection art activity.
