In 2022, Juxtapositions Arts’ Tactical Lab was

commissioned by the Beacon Interfaith Housing

Collaborative to do design- based community

engagement for their new housing development,

Emerson Village, in North Minneapolis. We held

listening sessions and envisioning workshops with

families currently in other Beacon’s housing to get

feedback on living in already existing BIHC spaces.

During the listening sessions with families, I would

capture discussion points through graphic note-taking.

At the end of each session, we would project the

drawings to look at and review together. I also helped

in designing the info poster that went up at BIHC.
